    Super Senses

    Saturday, 1/10/26 @ 10 am

    Please register

    Kids and their caretakers can participate in a series of fun challenges using their five senses! From guessing sounds and scents to discussing optical illusions, we will wrap up the program with a tasting of a few treats (please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you register.)

      This is now on Mondays! Information for each month's film will be available in the library closer to the screening. This program is meant for adults, but depending on movie ratings supervised children are welcome. If a film is rated R, please understand that unsupervised children will not be permitted to stay.

      February 9th movie is canceled due to conflict.

      Bring your babies and toddlers for a short story, rhymes, movement, songs and more. This is a great way to introduce them to the library!

      Join Liz for weekly* Crafternoons at the library! We will have the following supplies, but you are always welcome to bring your own:

      • Paint, paint brushes, paint markers
      • Canvases, ceramic shapes, and rocks
      • Coloring books
      • Markers and colored pencils
      • Pony beading supplies
      • Boondoggle supplies

      The program will be typically held in the Gallery Room but is subject to be moved to another space. 

      *This program may not always be supervised in full by a library staff member, and the artistic direction/decisions for crafts is up to participants

      The regular meeting of the Richmond Memorial Library Board of Trustees is on the second Tuesday of each month at 6 pm in the Gallery Room, unless otherwise noted.

      Pursuant to the Library's Open Meetings Policy
      Adopted Rules for the Public Recording, Photographing, Broadcasting, or Webcasting of a Meeting:
      1.    No extension cords or other potential tripping hazards may be set up.
      2.    No flash photography or additional lighting may be used.
      3.    No recording instrument shall be closer than four feet of a meeting participant, without that person’s express consent.
      4.    All equipment should be silent enough to not cause a disruption.
      5.    Equipment must not block aisles or exits and may not impede the view of other attendees.
      6.    Equipment must be maintained, monitored, and always attended by the owner of said equipment.
      7.    The Richmond Memorial Library is not responsible for damaged, lost, or malfunctioning equipment.
      8.    The “Guest” Wi-Fi network may be used by the public attending meetings.

      The privilege to record in this manner at the library is limited to open meetings of the board. When enforcing this rule with regards to the manner of recording, the Board of Trustees shall ensure that the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and Article I, Section 8 of the New York constitution are honored.
