
Library cards are issued to residents of Genesee, Orleans, and Niagara counties, and students and employees in Batavia. Fees of $1 to $5 are charged to replace lost library cards.
Patrons must present a valid library card to check out any item.
Three week loan period for most materials, two weeks for new books and periodicals.
Videos available to adults eighteen years and over, for a period of seven days.
Adult overdue charges:
20 cents per day per item
maximum fine of $5 per book
lost item: cost of replacement
Children's overdue charges:
10 cents per day per item
maximum fine of $5 per book
lost item: cost of replacement
Video overdue charges:
$1 per day per video
maximum fine of $10 per video
lost item: cost of replacement
Borrowed materials may be renewed by telephone (343-9550) or by clicking on the Catalog button on the library's homepage and choosing "My Library Card".
Library items can be reserved and held for a period of two days.
Library items can be returned through the book drop after hours but patron assumes full responsibility for materials.
Access to Internet workstations is available to patrons presenting their own valid library card, and registered as Internet users. Registration includes agreement to "Computer and Internet Use Policies and Rules" (adopted by Board of Trustees 2/98, revised 6/01, revised 6/05).
